Needle Art Designs was started in 2005 by AJ Barnett and is the result of life long involvement in the gentle art of handmade needle work of many kinds.  It is the result of a life long dream to share this love with others of like mind and interest in a meaningful way.

The relaxing, meditative act of doing needle work, whether it be needlepoint, rug making, quilting, beading, embroidery, or any one of the many kinds of needle hand work, is performed, enjoyed,  and appreciated by people from every background or cultural origin, of all ages, both male and female, in every nation of the world. At Needle Art Designs we appreciate those who do this important work where-ever they are and what ever the nature of their special skills.

The act and process of needle art work and its results has its own instrinsic rewards on many levels for both the artist and the end user.   The best and the most appreciated work is still that done by the careful, loving hand of the craftsman or artist and these skills now risk being lost in the age of technology.  At Needle Art Designs we strive to preserve and promote the continuity and quality of  hand-worked needle arts design and execution in what ever ways are available to us to do so.

 

The long-term goals of Needle Arts Design are to provide needle artists and workers a central source for:

  • Exciting new and unique easy to follow needle work design patterns, as well as existing and traditional design patterns.
  • A dependable source for high quality needlework supplies, tools, service, information, and resources for all the many kinds of handmade needle art projects and activities. 
  • A place for other needle work artists to place their own design patterns.
  •  
  • A place where needle art workers and artists can pull up a GrannyRocker and feel at home with those of like mind.

    And to actively promote and participate in the preservation and the continuity of these joyful, rewarding, and important activities that have been enjoyed by mankind all over the world for thousands of years in whatever ways are available for us to do so.
